Overview information about the seal with ID 1027.

Entry Value
ID 1027
Color red
Form round
Comment Interior part of the seal is designed as an eight petal lotus flower with a round center. The symbols inside the petals and the center cannot be recognised in this seal due to the lack of sharpness. Dawson comments (p.23): "Red ink seal used as an outer seal by the Regent, late 19th century. The design shows a floral arrangement in the centre surrounded by eight smaller designs, abstract and animal." Note that the seal Dawson shows has a sun and moon symbol inside the outer rim at the top middle and so does the seal described by Ou Chaogui & 'Jigs med (p. 83)
