| Further comments | List of edible gifts distributed during the che-'don ceremony of rTa-tshag (occasion on 12 VI me-glang TAL: 1817. “sDer-yig” is a list of edible gifts received by individual lamas and officers, during the New Year and enthronement ceremonies etc. Gifts include: Bread cooked in butter or oil, different kinds of sweets, dried fruits and nuts, as well as yak and sheep meat. Those gifts are piled on a plate (sder-ma) and displayed on the tables. The plates are distributed according to the individual ranks of lamas and officers. The rTa-tshag received for instance on a certain occasion 120 plates, see 012 1-2/#/48/8/4. |
